The Bachelor of Science in Public Health was designed to provide students access to value-based health skills that are readily marketable and high in demand. Students who choose this major will develop knowledge on health issues impacting global populations, and they will be equipped to solve problems and improve health outcomes, both locally and globally. The public health program serves as a gateway to prepare students for careers such as policy analysts, researchers, health educators, social workers, and many careers in business, in both the governmental and non-governmental sector, or in the private sector. Additionally, graduates of the program will also be highly prepared to apply for admission to graduate and professional programs in fields such as education, law, business and many graduate programs in the humanities and social sciences. The Public Health program ultimately gives students opportunities to experience hands on learning, in and out of the classroom, emphasizing a readiness to enter the workforce upon graduation.
