MATH 1120 - Biostatistics 3 Credit(s)
This course introduces fundamental concepts and methods of statistics with emphasis on the application of statistical principles and methods to the assessment and interpretation of statistical evidence. It includes an introduction to descriptive statistics, basic probability theory, statistical estimation, hypothesis testing and regression. Statistical analysis using a statistical software package is introduced. Format: Lecture and discussion.
General Education Mathematical sciences general education. Prerequisite(s): MATH 1109 with a grade of C- or better or a satisfactory score on the UHSP Math Placement Test.
