CHEM 1232 - Organic Chemistry 2

CHEM 1232 is the second semester of a two-semester organic chemistry course sequence. We will explore chemical properties and representations of organic molecules and how they relate to pharmaceuticals, the key reactions for drug action and metabolism through classic organic chemistry examples, spectroscopic determination of molecular structure, and an introduction to organic drug synthesis using principles of introductory organic chemistry. Format: Lecture and laboratory.

Prerequisite(s): CHEM 1231 with a C- or better.
