EXSC 2205 - Introduction to Exercise Science

This is an introductory level course that provides an overview of Exercise Science. The course covers many of the subdisciplines within Exercise Science that include: Exercise Physiology, Athletic Training, Sport Psychology, Motor Behavior, Sport Nutrition and Biomechanics. Students will also learn about various career paths for Exercise Scientists. Research in Exercise Science is highlighted through incorporation of current topic discussions, performance of literature searches, and completion of a peer-reviewed article comparison assignment. Topics covered will provide a foundation for subsequent coursework in the program.
