CHEM 1100 - Chemistry & Society

This course is designed to introduce the basic concepts of chemistry and expose you to situations in which chemical knowledge allows you to make logical and reasonable decisions in chemistry related issues. This course emphasizes the structure and properties of simple inorganic and organic chemicals that impact our day-to-day life. It is also designed to improve many learning skills that are part of the general education program. Topics include energy sources, consumer chemistry, nutrition, and drugs.
